Scribe and prophetic writing study guide (bible)

✏️ Introducing: The Scribe & Prophetic Writing Bible Study

For kids, teens, and adults — simple language, big purpose

Ever wondered why God told people in the Bible to write things down?

“Write the vision and make it plain…”Habakkuk 2:2

Throughout the Bible, God used writers — called scribes and prophets — to record His words, His promises, and His plans. Some spoke boldly, some wrote quietly, but all of them listened to God and shared what He wanted people to know.

In this new study, we explore what it means to:

  • Listen to God

  • Write what He teaches us through His Word

  • Encourage others with truth and hope

And the best part?
It’s written in child-friendly language, but deep enough for adults too.

✒️ What is a Prophetic Scribe?

A scribe writes things down.
A prophetic scribe listens to God and writes what He is teaching — always in agreement with the Bible.

We do not write new scripture.
We write about what God shows us as we read His Word.

In this study, kids and adults learn how to:

  • Journal what they learn from scripture

  • Hear God’s heart through His written Word

  • Use writing to encourage and bless others

💡 What’s Included in the Study?

✅ Bible lesson: “What is a Scribe? What is Prophetic Writing?”
✅ Memory verse: Habakkuk 2:2 — “Write the vision.”
✅ Reflection activities
✅ Journaling prompts
Scribe Certificate + badge (printable!)
✅ A fun, kid-friendly quiz:
“Do I have a prophetic scribe gift?”

This study helps kids discover their gifts without pressure or perfection.

Writing becomes worship.

🧠 New! Prophetic Scribe Quiz

Many children and teens feel called to write, but don’t know that writing can be a spiritual gift.

So I created a simple quiz to help them explore it.

Sample question:

“When I read the Bible, certain verses feel special or important.”

There are no wrong answers — just gentle discovery.

✨ Why This Study Matters

We live in a noisy world.
Writing helps us slow down, listen, and discover what God is saying through His Word.

This study helps kids (and adults):

  • Grow confidence in hearing God through scripture

  • Use creativity for God’s glory

  • Encourage others with words that build up

God used writers in every generation.
He still does.

📥 Want the Worksheets + Certificate?

At the end of the study, students receive a Scribe Certificate with a badge.
Perfect for:

  • Homeschool Bible studies

  • Sunday school

  • Family devotion time

  • Writers young and old who want to grow in their calling

🕊️ Final Thought

You don’t have to be a perfect writer for God to use you.

You just need a willing heart and a pen.

“This syllabus is not about being fancy.
It’s about being faithful.”

Let’s write what God puts on our hearts — with boldness, honesty, and joy.

⚠ Caution!!!

📘 How to Use This Book

I Wrote the Wound, It was the Balm isn’t meant to be read all at once.

It’s a conversation. A mirror. A safe place.
And like healing, it moves at your own pace.

Here are a few gentle ways to walk through these pages:

  • Start with the poem that speaks to your current state.
There’s no need to go in order. Let your soul guide you.

  • Read mindfully—see not just the wound but the hidden underlineing the balm.
Pause in between. Breathe. Let the Scriptures response sink in slowly.

  • Use the journal prompts throughout or at the end to start your own conversations with God.

  • Don’t rush your healing.
This book is here for the days when you don’t have words, the nights when you’re unraveling, and the mornings when the sun rises again… even just for a moment.

You can come back to it as many times as you need.
Each time, you’ll find something different waiting for you.
And each time, God will still be speaking.

⚠️ Author's Note & Content Warning

Dear Reader,

This collection is raw. It is real. It is mine.

Inside these pages, you will find vulnerable expressions of mental illness, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, spiritual grief, and emotional pain. Some poems may be unsettling or heavy—because they were written in the dark before I found my way back to the light.

This book is not a glorification of suffering.
It is not a romanticizing of pain.
It is a record—a testimony—of survival,
and of the whispers of God calling me home.

If you are sensitive to topics around self-harm, depression, or emotional abuse, please proceed with care.
Take breaks.
Skip sections.
Come back when you’re ready.
You don’t owe the book more than you have to give.

If you are currently struggling, please know: you are not alone.
You are deeply loved, and there is always help, even when it feels unreachable.

I share these pages not as a perfect person,
but as a witness to grace in the middle of a storm.

Let this book be what it needs to be for you.
And let the final note always be this:

You’re still here.
And that is holy.

With tenderness,
Telle Wild Rose
